That Bakeaholic Cake Giveaway

Wanna win a free tiered cake?

March 28,2012 we're giving away a FREE 2 tier cake* to 1 of our lucky Facebook fans. Free cake you ask? ABSOLUTELY!!! Let's clear a few things up before we give you the rules of the contest. We are not under any circumstances baking and decorating a random cake and just giving it away. This is a free cake that will be customized by our winner. Customizing your cake goes as follows:

1. Decide what cake flavor you'd like between vanilla butter (our most popular flavor) confetti, chocolate or white.

2. Choose whether the base of your cake will be buttercream or fondant. Be advised that if you pick a buttercream cake your decorations will more than likely be fondant. (ex. Cake iced in buttercream but the dots and stripes are fondant.)

3. Pick the character(s), theme or colors for your cake. Customizing your cake can include animal prints, dots, stripes, bows, paintings, pearls, accessories and more. **

4. Can't decide on what you want right away? Don't worry your credit is good up until March 28, 2013.

Now that that's clear lets talk about how you can become our winner. For the past few weeks we've been posting random cake pictures and quotes on our page. We will continue to do so until March 27th. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO EVERYTHING THAT IS BEING POSTED. We mean absolutely everything including pictures of our own work. (I highly advise our participants to inspect our photo albums.) On March 28th we'll be posting 3 trivia questions pertaining to photos, links and quotes on our That Bakeaholic page. The first person to answer all 3 questions correctly is our winner.

Giveaway Entries & Rules

MANDATORY ENTRY- All participants must like That Bakeaholic on Facebook in order to be apart of this contest.

When answering our trivia questions partial answers will not be accepted.

Participants of this contest must live in the DMV area. The winner is responsible for picking up their cake.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

* The winner will receive a 2 tier 25 serving cake.

Delectable Brands

I recently had the opportunity to create designer cupcakes for a clients birthday party. She decided to do a high fashion photo shoot and they went great with the theme.

Jumbo french vanilla cupcakes filled with strawberry cream cheese filling. Chanel, OPI, Gucci, Betsey Johnson, Burberry and many other designer logos were used to create these.

Here's a picture of my clients set up with the candy bar she created.

Looking at these pictures reminded me of how many of our favorite designers and products I turned into cake or other confections. Come reminisce with me as I look back on these delectable brands.

The Brown Gucci Pouch. One of my first sculpted cakes. Since this I've made about 30 of them in almost 4 years.

Rolex watch face cake.

 The Pretty Pink Gucci Pouch.

A Nikon D3 camera made for a photographers 1 year anniversary.

Barbie Loves MAC logo shaped cake. Below are Barbie cupcakes that accompanied the cake.

Grand Marnier bottle cake made for a 25th birthday party.

Louis Vuitton themed corset. 1 of my fav cakes I've made.

A client requested I make this Pepsi can cake for her mom. Apparently Pepsi is her drink of choice.

Chanel themed strawberries filled with Moscato.

Tiffany & Co. gift box cake.

Air Jordan 11 Space Jam tennis.

This black and white Juicy Couture purse was made for an out of town client. She and her guests loved it

This Coconut Ciroc bottle was made for a 25th birthday party this past summer. Another 1 of my favorite cakes I've made.

Black Gucci wallet with a gold Rolex watch and credit cards.

Brown and tan Coach bag.

Copper Foamposite tennis cakes.

Tiffany & Co. themed cake and charm bracelet.

Strawberry Pineapple Chanel themed cupcakes.

Rolex watch box shaped cake with gum paste watch.

Chocolate Louis Vuitton Damier bag.

This Chanel themed cake was made for a friends birthday dinner. She has been a Chanel fanatic since forever. The cake is topped with a Chanel shoe, purse, Chanel cuff, black and white diamonds, pearls and Chanel rings. She loved it!

This is the first set of designer cupcakes I made almost 2 years ago for a bridal shower. The bride picked her favorite designers and I went from there.

I had a client that loved the Gucci pouch cakes so much she had to have them. His and her Gucci pouch cakes made for a couples birthday dinner. Colors were changed per clients request.

Gucci Berries!

Christian Louboutin boot.

Buttercream Gucci cupcakes.

This Christian Audigier clutch was ordered by a client for her best friends birthday party.

Pink  Louis Vuitton Monogram Miroir Alma Purse Cake

This cake had so many brands I lost count. A client got in contact with me to do a cake for the joint birthday party she and her boyfriend were having. Creative Recreation tennis, Christian Louboutin shoes, True Religion, Ciroc and Patron make up this cake.

I Vision Hot Pink and Cheetah

Earlier this year I was asked to make some confections for a vision board party. What's a vision board you ask? A vision board is a tool used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on a specific life goal. Literally, a vision board is any sort of board on which you display images that represent whatever you want to be, do or have in your life. Pretty cool idea right? I think it's so nice that people get together and share their hopes, dreams and aspirations in such a fun way. The theme for the party was hot pink and cheetah print so I decided to of course use that for my treats. My client opted to get a variety tray since she wasn't too sure of what she wanted.

Nice set up right?

The tray contained strawberry cupcakes with strawberry buttercream tinted hot pink, hot pink white chocolate dipped berries, cheetah print chocolate dipped berries and dipped pretzel rods.
